Biography

For the past six years Christie has been working as a freelance photojournalist in New York and Long Island. She began attending Nassau Community College in September of 2001 to further her knowledge and improve her skills as a photographer.
For the first time she began to feel. Through photo assignments, art, music, literature, classmates, her subjects, and inspiration from her professors she developed a new sense of curiosity and sensitivity for all that she encountered.
In the spring of 2006 Christie enrolled in the Studio Art program at New York University and earned her Bachelors degree with Honors while experimenting with many different mediums.
Christie’s work has served as evidence, inspiration, and encouragement and has empowered her to abandon expectations, embrace herself and move forward toward fear with courage and commitment toward creative self-sculpture and the art of living.
